Qualities:
- U/S (A) - includes grades I-IV, best quality
- V (B)
- SF (A+B) - includes grades I-V
- VI (C)
- EXPORT SCHAALBOARD (D)
U/S (A) quality is the highest quality class that covers falling share of production qualities 1, 2, 3 and 4
Full edge quality classes with no wane are U/S, V and VI.
Quality classes with wane are export schaalboard, domestic schaalboard, knot free boards and half clear quality (halvrena).

Drying
The wood can be Kiln Dried ( KD ) to around 18%-20% or Fresh ( Unseasoned ). Special drying, e.g 10%, is also possible.
Packaging
LP- one length per package
SP - Step Packages - 3-4 following lengths per package
TP - many lengths per package
The wood can be paper/plastic covered from 3 sides, 5 sides or top only. In some cases the wood can be without cover.
Each board typicaly has the saw mill mark.
EX-Log
How many pieces of timber are cut from the middle section of the log.
Centercut
The timber cut from the middle section of the log.
Usually centerboards are with the higher value.
Sideboard
Sideboards are the timber which is cut from the side section of the log.
